PSH has developed its own numbering system for starters and alternators. The first 2 numbers of this unique 12-digit number describes the brand of the application were the units are used for. With starter motors the PSH number also describes voltage, type, number of teeth and mounting-holes and with the alternators it describes voltage, type and amps.
